當使用 eix , 然後你的 portage 升級到 2.1 的時候, Database 會亂掉.
出現一堆看得懂, 但是很礙眼的訊息, 像是這樣
# eix ^eix$
* app-portage/eix
Available versions: !0.3.0-r1 !0.3.0-r2 !0.5.0
Installed: 0.5.0
Homepage: SRC_URI=http://dev.gentoo.org/~hollow/distfiles/eix-0.5.0.tar.bz2
Description: RDEPEND=sys-apps/portage bash-completion? ( || ( app-admin/eselect app-shells/bash-completion-config ) )
這時候, 請修改 /etc/eixrc or ~/.eixrc 加上
PORTDIR_CACHE_METHOD=』backport』
就可以了.
